Safety for children was one of the main considerations for this garden on a steep slope, together with retaining the informal nature of the garden and surrounds.

A deck at the top of the steep garden allows for superb views over the valley, whilst being secluded enough not to have 'privacy' problems. The old paved steps were replaced with informal deckboard - faced steps - to be in-filled with wood chippings.
